Legacy

LEGACY is the debut from MERE mère, a two-piece bass and drum noise rock outfit from eastern Québec. Gueze on bass, Sama on drums. "In a purely DIY approach, the album Legacy was self-recorded in a house rented specifically for the occasion. The instrumental performance was captured live, while vocals and certain sonic textures were added afterward. Our goal was to present our music in the rawest way possible, without embellishments and with all the imperfections of a live performance. No effects were added in post-production apart from conventional mixing tools (EQ, compression, etc.). We used the natural reverb of the space and a few effect pedals for the bass and synthesizers"
